Picture of snow covered cars along street

During the winter months, between November 1st and April 1st, there is no parking or leaving of vehicles on any public street, alley, or municipal parking lot between the hours of 2:30 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. The removal of vehicles from these areas ensure that safe and efficient snow removal can be conducted in the community. Vehicles in violation of winter parking rules are subject to being ticketed and/or towed.

In the event you have a special circumstance which would require on street parking during prohibited hours, please contact the Carver County Sheriff's Office at 952-361-1231 to speak to a local deputy. Permission for on street parking will be made and at the discretion of law enforcement.

If you vehicle is parked in violation of the winter parking regulations you maybe ticketed and/or towed. Impounded vehicles are not released until proof of citation payment is shown and payment of the towing and storage fees are paid. Citations can be paid to Carver County and all other fees are payable to the City of Watertown. Vehicles can be claimed during normal business hours at City Hall, 309 Lewis Avenue S.
